Executive Coaching Vs. Executive Mentoring
TAKE A DEEP DIVE INTO MY WORLD OF EXECUTIVE COACHING VS. EXECUTIVE MENTORING
On the market right now there is tremendous confusion between what executive coaching and executive mentoring are, and when you should use each method in your development. More, few coaches dare to show their expertise and style of work to the world.
I want to overcome that barrier. Let’s take a look together at what executive coaching and executive mentoring are, and when you should leverage each method for your success.
- You feel confused and you need clarity in your work, business, or career journey.
- You feel stuck and you need to figure out what’s going on.
- You need to identify the right solutions for you so you can move forward in a particular area of your work, career, and life.
- You feel under pressure to make a good decision and you simply can’t make up your mind etc.
- “I am about to exit corporate, but I don’t know what to do next.”
- “My boss is pushing me to grow into top leadership, but I’m not sure that’s for me.”
- “I am about to become a mom and I am freaking out.”
- “I can’t seem capable to focus, prioritize, and delegate. This is taking a toll on my promotion perspectives. How can I change?”
- “I feel like an impostor despite my past success. What’s going on?”
- “My boss is a jerk. Should I leave my team or even my company?”
- “I know our company culture is toxic, with bosses closing their eyes to a lot of bad things. But it pays well and I need to pay my bills. What should I do?”
- You know what you want (ex.: a promotion, a raise, a better personal brand), but you want to get there faster.
- You could use the inspiration provided by someone who has already experienced what you’re going through now or what you’re about to go through.
- You seek a role model to grow in your career, communications etc.
- “Please help me develop an impactful personal brand.”
- “Teach me how journalists think; give me feedback on my planned approach to media relations.”
- “I want to improve our internal coms and my own CEO communications. Give me tips and tricks on how to do this effectively.”
- “I am about to redesign the architecture of our executive team. Give me your perspective on how to get this right.”
- “I am about to be promoted to CEO. Show me how to map my stakeholders and develop effective communication strategies with them.”
- “I am about to exit my company and start my own business. How to start successfully and what mistakes should I avoid?”

Lenka Glavinić Pivoňková

Following a successful career as the CEO and regional risk manager of an international leasing company for Czechia and Slovakia, Lenka Glavinić Pivoňková decided to take a career break to rest, restore, and refocus her leadership.
During this break she engaged in numerous executive development activities, courses, and community activities. Now Lenka is ready for her next CEO role.
During our executive coaching session we explore how Lenka can leverage her understanding of and passion for company culture to secure her next CEO role, and also how she can become an asset for her next employer thanks to her passion for company culture.
At the end of the session Lenka is leaving with clarity and a concrete plan for how to leverage her authenticity and values to secure her next role and to elevate her next employer’s business to the next level through a human-centric approach.
Executive Mentoring Interview
Building a vibrant personal brand as a CEO can be a tricky endeavor. On the one hand, people may be proud and endorse the CEO visibility efforts, but numerous CEOs can also face backlash and suspicions of using the company brand to make a name for themselves. This is why many CEOs decide to keep quiet and speak publicly only when absolutely necessary, which is another extreme that can lead to less visibility, trustworthiness, and leadership impact.
During this executive mentoring session, Lenka Glavinić Pivoňková and I explore how she can build a dynamic and impactful CEO personal brand that will serve both her career management and her next employer.
At the end of our session Lenka is leaving with a strategic framework for how to think about and manage her personal brand, an impactful message she can use in all her communication channels, an inventory of communication channels she can use for her persona branding, and clarity on her next steps as a mindful, intentional, and engaging communicator and leader.
